Answers to some questions...

What are phthalates?

Phthalates are a group of chemicals (oily, colorless liquids) that are used, among other things, to make vinyl and other plastics soft and flexible.  Many types of phthalates are in use today.  As of 2/10/2009, three have been prohibited outright in the United States for use in certain products and three more are prohibited pending further action by the Commission.

I have an adult sized shirt, why does it have this tracking information on it?

Effective 8/14/2009, all children's items manufactured are required to have tracking information on them so they can be tracked in the event of a recall.  Your adult shirt was printed in the same production run with youth shirts.  To prevent contamination and to make sure the ink colors would look the same, it was printed with the non-phthalate ink and tracking information too.
